What does “Merchant of Record” actually mean?
We become the legal seller on TikTok Shop: the seller account, VAT registration, EPR obligations, invoicing and settlement run through JTS Commerce. You supply the product and documentation, we take on the operational and regulatory load. You get a clean B2B relationship and a weekly view of the numbers.
Which markets do you launch in?
Any of the six European TikTok Shop markets: the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Poland. Most brands start with one core market and expand on the same operational spine, often served cross-border from a single fulfilment hub.
How do we engage, and what does it cost?
We work on a setup fee plus a performance share of channel revenue, so our incentives sit exactly where yours do: on orders. Every engagement starts with a forecast. If the unit economics do not clear our bar, we tell you, and you have lost nothing but a call.
What do you need from us?
Product, product documentation (especially in regulated categories), samples for creator seeding, and a decision maker we can reach. The rest, account, compliance, logistics, creators, content, ads and reporting, is our job.
Why not just hire a content agency?
Content without operations does not sell. A viral video pointing at a non-compliant listing with broken fulfilment is a refund machine. We run the whole channel precisely because on TikTok Shop the content is only the visible 20 percent.
Do you only do TikTok Shop?
TikTok Shop is the spearhead, not the whole engagement. For brands we run as Merchant of Record we also grow the direct-to-consumer side, your own store and social ads, so the demand the channel creates also lands somewhere you own.
